ZX 128 PCB board, clone of ZX Spectrum 128

This is a replica of the ZX Spectrum 128 motherboard, but in the physical format of the original 48K — meaning it fits into the classic 48K/48K+ case, even though it is functionally a full 128K. Author: Don Superfo, PCB version Issue 3.

Specifications:

• 32K ROM and 128K RAM,
• support for original ULA chips or their replacements (vLA128, SLAM128, SLAM128+),
• dual AY-3-8910 sound chip with turbo mode,
• built-in DivMMC interface (SD card as memory without an additional module),
• ports: Kempston Joystick, RS-232, numeric keyboard,
• composite and RGB PAL video output.

Key idea: Combining nostalgic aesthetics (fits into the original, smaller 48K case) with full 128K functionality and extras that the original did not have (DivMMC, RS-232, dual AY).
