SDrive Simple-II PCB Emulator for Atari

SDrive-Simple-II is a compact, internal version of a disk drive emulator for Atari 8-bit computers (e.g., 65XE, 130XE, 800XL). Connected directly to the SIO port inside the casing, it emulates up to 4 virtual floppy drives (D1:–D4:), allowing you to load ATR and XEX files from an SD card (standard or microSD with an adapter). It is based on the SDrive-MAX firmware but simplified – without a touch screen, network, or advanced FujiNet functionalities.

Main Features:

• Emulation of 4 drives (read/write ATR, read/write XEX).
• Very fast loading after replacing the OS ROM with a version patched with high-speed SIO (HSIO).
• Control menu loaded from the SDrive.atr file (in the root of the SD card).
• SD card up to 32 GB (FAT32).
• Automatic deactivation: Remove the SD card – the device becomes "transparent" to the SIO bus (thanks to a Schottky diode on the Data-In line).
• No support for: CAR, ROM, ATX, XFD, CAS, and disk swapping in multi-disk games.
• Ideal for internal mounting – does not occupy an external SIO port.
