Extender for Atari 1200XL, cartridge adapter

Simple adapter
A straightforward adapter that extends the Atari 1200XL cartridge slot just enough to accommodate cartridges that normally wouldn't fit this model. Fully passive—no electronics, no configuration: simply insert the adapter into the computer and the cartridge into the adapter.

Problem it solves

The Atari 1200XL has a cartridge slot embedded deeper into the casing than other models in the family. The result is mundane yet highly frustrating: some cartridges—especially those in thicker third-party casings, custom printed enclosures, and modern multicart devices—simply don't reach the contacts. They physically fit into the slot, press against the casing, and stop millimeters short of the connector. The computer doesn't recognize them.

This board shifts the connector upward by those missing millimeters. A cartridge that previously wouldn't work simply starts functioning.
